SDI (Serial Digital Interface) - the main transportation vehicle for the dissemination of the digital signal at a relatively small distance, for example, within a television studio. The interface is described by the standard SMPTE-259M, developed by the Society of Engineers in the technical field of Film and Television (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers).
