      Company Beta TV com produces conversion transducers for operation with the device SNA-12M in the frequency range of 12.6-18 GHz and 18 - 26 GHz.

      Description and features of converter unit MCHF-18 and frequency multiplier unit MMHF-18 for the frequency range of 12.6-18 GHz are given below. Operation procedure with conversion transducers MCHF-26 and MMHF-26 for the frequency range of 18 - 26 GHz is analogous to the former.

      The conversion transducers enable operating in the given frequency ranges in all the operating modes of the measuring device SNA-12M: spectrograph, synthesized oscillator, amplitude frequency characteristic and SWR spectrograph (with an external directional coupler).

      Calibration of conversion transducers is effected directly with the measuring device SNA-12M which they are going to operate with

      Power supply of conversion transducers is effected from the device SNA-12M itself (see connector on the back panel)

      It is necessary to connect a convertor unit MCHF-18 to a device SNA-12M to operate in a spectrograph mode in the frequency range of 12,6-18 GHz (see fig.1). To transfer to the frequency range of 12,6 - 18 GHz it is necessary to set the following parameters: Spectrum analysis > FREQUENCY > Frequency range extension > Mix Band 12.6-18 GHz. Only the operating frequency range will change afterwards. The rest of the interface elements and the operation procedure in this mode are described in the Manual for SNA-12M
      The main features of SNA-12M and converter unit MCHF-18 (MCHF-26) in a spectrograph mode are given in the table 1

      It is necessary to connect a frequency multiplier unit MCHF-18 to a device SNA-12M to operate in an oscillator mode in the frequency range of 12,6-18 GHz (see fig.2). To transfer to the frequency range of 12.6 - -18 GHz it is necessary to set the following parameters: Oscillator > Mode > Frequency range extension > Mul Band 12.6-18 GHz. Only the operating frequency range will change afterwards. The rest of the interface elements and the operation procedure in this mode are described in the Manual for SNA-12M
